Ricardo is the Investment Strategist at Business Oregon, where he manages private market portfolios for the Oregon Growth Board. These portfolios aim to deliver strong returns for public education while also supporting Oregon's entrepreneurial ecosystem. His work focuses on expanding access to capital for underserved founders, addressing financing gaps, and driving statewide economic development. Prior to joining Business Oregon, Ricardo worked at the Oregon State Treasury, where he focused on private market investments for the state's multi-billion-dollar pension fund. He began his career at RVK, a national investment consulting firm based in Portland. Ricardo holds both a BBA and an MS in Finance from the University of Portland and is a CAIA charterholder. He was named to the Portland Business Journal's Forty Under 40 in 2022 and currently serves as President of the Portland Alternative Investment Association.
